REGULATIONS
The Atlas Quest is a sporting event organized with various options in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is open to all participants as outlined below.
These regulations apply to the following races: the Ultra Trail Atlas Toubkal 105 km, the Atlas Marathon 42 km, the Ikkiss Run 26 km, the Atlas Challenge 42+26 km, and the Amazigh Trail 12 km. Each running race takes place in the natural environment of the Moroccan High Atlas, in a single stage, at an unrestricted pace, within a limited time, either solo or in pairs. Only the Ultra Trail Atlas Toubkal and the Atlas Challenge are open to pairs and are referred to as “Duo.”
The organization is responsible for assisting runners during the races. The Atlas Quest results are based on each participant’s race time and will be available by category, gender, and overall ranking. For participants registered as a duo, their result will be based on the shared race time of the duo, without distinction of gender or age category, and no individual result will be provided for these participants.
The regulations also apply to accompanying participants (non-runners) and other participants.

Competitors participate under their own responsibility in the event of an accident or failure due to their health condition.
Each participant must hold an individual accident insurance policy covering search and rescue, evacuation, hospitalization costs in Morocco, and repatriation to their home country.
The organization recommends ITRA insurance: https://itra.run/Runners/aboutInsurance
This insurance covers most outdoor sports for one year, with no geographical restrictions, and is valid worldwide.
Insurance companies such as Europ Assistance, Mondial Assistance, and many others offer similar coverage.
### 2.5 Cancelling a Registration
**Cancellation Guarantee**
The guarantee covers the amount actually paid for the registration (registration fees + options, excluding payment fees and optional insurance) for one of the 5 races, if a runner wishes to cancel for one of the following reasons:
– An accident, a serious illness, or death
– A serious illness requiring hospitalization
– The death of a spouse or partner, an ascendant, or a direct descendant within 30 days preceding the event
– Pregnancy of a registered female runner (for couples registered together, if the partner is pregnant, a postponement of both registrations will be offered)
In case of an accident and/or serious illness, the participant must provide a medical certificate signed and stamped by a doctor, certifying that participation in the race is medically contraindicated. Other reasons for cancellation must be supported by a document issued by the competent authority. The organization reserves the right to consult its reference doctor, who may request additional information (X-ray, ultrasound, scan, MRI, etc.) before deciding on a refund.
**Refund Conditions**: All refund requests must be submitted with the medical certificate no later than 10 days following the event. Requests are processed within two months of receiving the claim.
**Cancellation Procedure**
Registration cancellations must be made by email (contact@trail-atlasquest.com) or by mail (Association Sport Nature Développement – Chez Sci Avenue – 11 Avenue Jean Médecin – 06380 Sospel, France).
For registrations using the 3-installment payment option (Article 3.2), the cancellation guarantee cannot be activated if, at the date of the event causing the inability to participate, or at the date of declaration by email to the organization, any of the payment deadlines have not been met on time, namely 30 days from the registration date for the first payment and 60 days from the registration date for the second.
**Right of Withdrawal**
The Association Sport Nature Développement, organizer of Atlas Quest, is subject to French consumer law.
Under articles L.121-17 and L.121-21-8 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal grants consumers a 14-day period in case of a change of mind for purchases made online or by phone. However, this does not apply to Atlas Quest registration.
The Consumer Code specifies that the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts for leisure activities when the consumer is informed.
### 2.6 Event Cancellation
The organizer has the right to cancel the race in cases of force majeure or if fewer than 500 participants have registered by July 31, 2025.

Legal Framework:
The installment payment offered by the Association Sport Nature Développement is not considered credit according to article L312-4 of the French Consumer Code, as it is a payment facility exempt from credit regulations.
As a reminder, under article L312-4 of the Consumer Code, credit regulations do not apply if:
- The total credit amount is less than €200;
- The repayment period does not exceed three months, with no interest or only negligible interest and costs.
Only one of these conditions needs to be met for the transaction to be considered a payment facility rather than credit.

The Atlas Quest organization may, under certain conditions, allow the deferral of a registration to the following edition upon the request of a registered participant. This deferral is permitted only once.
- Condition 1: Medical reason with a medical certificate justifying the request + commitment to pay the difference between the two editions’ prices.
- Condition 2: Personal reason + commitment to pay the difference between the two editions’ prices and administrative fees (€20). Failure to pay the price difference and/or administrative fees will result in the loss of the initial registration.
3.6 Event Change Request
A request to change race is possible free of charge until July 31, 2025, by emailing contact@trail-atlasquest.com. Any change request between August 1 and September 15 will incur an administrative fee (€20). After September 16, no race changes will be allowed.

A national resident is defined as a person, regardless of nationality, who lives in Morocco and has a valid Moroccan Identity Card (CNIE – Electronic National Identity Card), Residence Card, or Resident Card at the time of registration. For Atlas Challenge participants, a DNS (Did Not Start) for one of the two races or a DNF (Did Not Finish) in either race will automatically count as a withdrawal, and no ranking will be awarded.

The bib number must be worn at all times and be clearly visible at the front. It is highly recommended to use a bib belt for this purpose.
10.2 Image Rights
By participating in any of the event’s races, a competitor grants the organization (the Sport Nature Développement association) and its partners the right to use their image (photo or video) on any media for event promotion purposes, without any form of compensation. Images may include accompanying information, such as the competitor’s first and last name and race results.
However, a participant may exercise their right to privacy on legitimate grounds by requesting exclusion from this clause in writing.
Participants are also informed that remotely piloted aircraft (drones) may be used on the event day to capture aerial images and video footage.
All participants must comply with the regulations.
By registering for any of the Atlas Quest races, participants expressly and unreservedly accept these regulations, its additional documents (e.g., road book, etc.), and any instructions provided by the organizers.
Participants must also adhere to the laws in effect in the host country of the Atlas Quest and respect the ethical charter of the International Trail Running Association (ITRA).
In the event of a dispute with the organization, participants agree to initiate mediation with the organization through direct communication.
If this recourse is exhausted, only French jurisdiction will have authority over any dispute. Specifically, the Tribunal of Nice (Place du Palais, 06357 NICE Cedex 9), to which the association producing the event (Sports Nature Développement Association) is attached.
The organization commit to using the participants personal data for purposes strictly related to the competition where he/she is registered (pre- and post-event), and those related to promotion and information directly related to the ATLAS QUEST in general.
