Being a little lost in a village to find the aid station because I was looking everywhere around me, so many children waiting for us at the corner of an alley. One of the children saw that I didn't know where to go, he took me by the hand and while running brought me to the aid station. I then took him aside to give him my Buff / Bandana as well as a cereal bar... You just had to see his look and his smile. The rest cannot be explained, come and meet them, history will do the rest. See you soon in the High Atlas. Fab 😉

I loved everything. The participation before the race to climb the Toubkal allowed me to meet a team of 24 trail runners. This experience and the bonds forged made this adventure even more intense. I felt supported and supported throughout this week. Life in the village was punctuated by activities and beautiful encounters. The two days of races were up to the adventure I wanted to live: Surpassing and personal enrichment, encounters, breathtaking landscapes. There are so many places to discover and only one lifetime to do it that I don't know if I would come back quickly but it is very likely that it will happen sooner than expected. The idea of trying the 100KM when I was ready is already making its way.

Running a race alone, on another planet, because yes the Atlas can look like Mars, for almost 100 kilometers, is an extraordinary and unforgettable experience in itself. Although we meet volunteers at some strategic points and checkpoints, as well as locals in Berber villages, we feel isolated and it is a memorable moment with our thoughts and minds. I recommend this extraordinary experience where sharing and discovery are orderly.

I came back transformed from this 105 km ultra-trail. Extreme fatigue, doubts, but also the pride of going to the end of oneself, the enriching encounters with the inhabitants... All these elements shaped an unforgettable experience. The altitude was a physical challenge, but the grandiose landscapes and the warm welcome of the locals offered me an enchanted interlude.

Far from an ordinary race, the Atlas Quest is a unique adventure. It's not about putting on your overly sophisticated trail gear and rolling the miles under your sharp sneakers. The Atlas Quest is an invitation to go beyond what we could imagine. Why do we like to run in natural places? Why do we like to play with our limits? What do you look for in a race? Exchange, sharing, respect for oneself, for others, for the environment. This is the very essence of trail running, delivered from scratch by this race. In Oukaimeden, in the heart of the Moroccan High Atlas, the human values of benevolence and sharing are present in every look, smile, outstretched hand, encouragement, service rendered... In front of us, in the heart of a timeless parenthesis, surrounded by rocks with striking shapes and glowing colors, it is impossible to lie to ourselves. All you have to do is welcome the moment offered. Thank you for this race of suspended moments taking us far from our far too fast and sneaky Western era, where life scrolls on energy-reducing screens. I wish everyone to come and live this unique experience, to seek their quest for the living 🙏
Astrid
The Atlas Quest is not just another trail or challenge, it is a human adventure from which I did not come out as I had entered it. My friends and family asked me what was different from other trails, my answer is that you have to experience the Atlas Quest to understand it.

2022 Testimonials
A top organization (even better, a nice family atmosphere) all the volunteers are extraordinary and go out of their way for you. They always find you the right solutions to best respond to your problems. I loved my 1st stay in Morocco and on top of that on the UTAT. (beautiful landscapes and demanding race courses). Just a big thank you and congratulations to all. Everything was magical and beautiful. I simply LOVED ♥ it
Patrice Tackmann - 2022
I had an unforgettable experience on a human and emotional level. The meetings with the riders as well as with the locals were very rich. The UTAT is a high quality sporting event with breathtaking landscapes, Berber villages where families are welcomed with applause and smiles. The life of the sports camp is family and a good mood reigns there. I will keep an incredible memory of my first marathon and this 42km+26km challenge.
Cindy Barranco - 2022
A beautiful overall experience of several days at altitude, around a lively base camp that participates, in addition to the race itself, in a rather wild, original, exotic, authentic and human experience that is not like other races.
Lionel Azoulay - 2022
I found a bit pompous "the "more than a trail... an adventure" before the race but I understood. I lived a unique moment, completely out of time in a universe as beautiful as it is impressive. Before, during and after... 3 different atmospheres but with one and the same driver: the love of sport, nature and people. A real respect for the riders in terms of organization and the love of volunteers. I would come back because I have something to finish on the UTAT... See you soon under the sun this time ☀️?
Sandra Cochini - 2022
The UTAT is not a race, it is a real experience, almost an adventure: an immersion in the Berber country, fabulous landscapes that make you forget the demanding difference in altitude and above all beautiful encounters everywhere at every moment: local guides, volunteers, other runners, children from the villages... A compendium of emotions, a lot of simplicity and sincerity. I loved this interlude and came back in better shape than ever.
Bachère Armelle - 2022
This is exactly the type of trail that I like, to be able to share and meet the participants of the different events, volunteers and the organization, to be gathered in the same place for the duration of this adventure. Congratulations to the organization and the volunteers for allowing us to cross this line thanks to the smiles, messages, and kindness to each PC. A course designed to live a beautiful human adventure, magnificent landscapes. To be discovered without too much delay. Thank you and congratulations again for your work in the field.
Denis Trovato - 2022
A magnificent adventure supported by extremely kind volunteers. The courses were splendid. Thank you to the Race Director Cyrille and your whole team. It was worth waiting 2 years... A lot of emotions! This experience will remain engraved.
Aurore Cotelle - 2022
A great adventure with a magnificent and breathtaking course, beautiful encounters even in the villages where the people are nice, a top organization, I will come back!!

2019 Testimonials
The UTAT, much more than participating in a race, is 4 fantastic days of mountain immersion and conviviality with a community of friendly, passionate, open, easily approachable people. It is conducive to beautiful meetings and warm exchanges. Congratulations to the organization, to all the available and attentive volunteers, thank you for these beautiful moments shared.
Francis Lambert - 2019
It was great, a great experience, authentic and in the heart of the Atlas. Everything a trail runner can look for...... I am not ready to forget it. It will remain a great memory and ready to recommend it to many people. It's a Trail that deserves to be known.... 👍👍
Vincent Bazin 2019
The Utat, a race like no other. An adventure to be shared. An adventure to feel alive...
Laure de Cabissole, Finisher ULTRA TRAIL ATLAS TOUBKAL 2019
It was an extraordinary stay, more than a trail... An experience to be lived. The kindness of the organization, the volunteers, the people was great. An extraordinary trail experience to do and redo that plunged me into the world of trail running as I imagine it. It's more than a trail, with breathtaking landscapes, complicated and difficult races with the altitude and terrain, great encounters. In summary, see you next year!!
Julien Le Talour - 2019
I have often heard about the values of trail running, the spirit and mutual aid, the encounters and friendships that are made. I was skeptical because in proportion to the number of races I did, I found that these descriptions were a little too quickly erected into a principle that was not verified. What is rather false elsewhere is completely accurate at the UTAT:I discovered all these values of mutual aid, sharing, communion through the race – my group and I (while I always run alone) took a certain amount of time (39 hours !!) to do the course, and I know for a fact that, in the end, we almost wanted it to drag on and for it to last longer, because we were good together, In these mountains, to enjoy a sunrise together, the colors, the characters and the local situations, that we were as good at 3000 as at the base camp, and that the main thing, given the mountain environment which remains harsh despite the good weather conditions, is to bring everyone home with a smile.
Etienne Douchet, Finisher Ultra Trail Atlas toubkal 2019
In the Atlas Mountains, time stands still, man is small, but the adventure is immense
Mohamed Ali El Hachani, 2019
A very great moment of sharing between the volunteers and the runners. A trail that puts us back in the center of nature and ourselves through an almost solo adventure in remote and beautiful valleys. It will be forever engraved in my experience as a trail runner. Altitude is a real parameter that few trails can align. Thank you to all the dedicated volunteers available on the course in totally perched places. Between UTMB (3 times) and UTAT, my heart goes for the UTAT.
Christian Baudet, Ultra trail Atlas Toubkal 2019
We hiked the 26 km, beautiful landscapes even if high level of difficulty but we are proud to have taken up the challenge. Unforgettable!

Unforgettable experience with friends from my running club. For some, it was our first trail marathon. Even though we know the mountains well because we live in the Alps, the landscapes are extraordinary and different. It was also a great life experience crossing the Berber villages as well as a rich sharing between the runners and/or volunteers because we all stay in the same place for several days. This organization attracted me a lot when a friend told me about this trail and I must admit that this is what made me decide to participate.
Janick Granger, finisher Marathon de l’Atlas 2017
It's not a race but a real adventure!
Emmanuel Colin, finisher Marathon de l’Atlas 2017
Grandiose landscapes, an extraordinary trail, the people, the adorable children... You have to come and live this experience. A super nice atmosphere between all the trail runners, sharing memories and experiences. Direct and limitless contact with great champions. In addition a very reasonable service.
Dominique Eugène, finisher Marathon de l’Atlas 2017
At the start of the 42km + 26km challenge I had only one desire: to finish the race without too much pain.... When I arrived, I had only one idea in mind: to share this adventure next year with friends.

2016 Testimonials
Just wanted to say big thanks to all of you for a great experience and fantastic race! It was definitely one of the best races I took the part in. You have done a great job.
I will definitely recommend it to my running friends and hoping to join 105k in the future!
Best regards!
Jacob and Vicky, 2016
Magnificent landscape (we think we are in some places on the GR20 except that here we go up to 3100 meters of altitude), passage in unexpected places, very good markings, super nice volunteers, it was great we were amazed.
UTAT 2016 was an unforgettable experience. The hardest and most rewarding challenge I have ever met. I definitely recommend it to those who enjoy a technical race where you have plenty of chances to face your demons while gliding though some of the most remote, rugged and outstandingly beautiful places on earth.
Mariana Leite Braga, finisher de l’UTAT 2016
A truly unique experience, mixing a huge challenge with a fantastic country to discover. Congratulations!
Weiter so
LG Marion 2016
It was the most amazing and difficult running experience ever. The highs and lows of the event will never be Forgotten.
Mark Smith, finisher Virée d’Ikiss 2016
UTAT is more than a race it’s an experience and an adventure. I loved the concept, kind of an indie race: for a few, in a different continent, within a different culture, in a friendly environment, beautiful, with unique landscapes, tough and wild.
Antonio Costa, finisher de l’UTAT 2016
First of all, congratulations for organizing the race! Everything was impeccable! The camp, the dinners, the structure during the race to who ran the long races, the staffs always attentive and kind to athletes. We heard many compliments about everything and we did not hear any complaints.
Athletes who came from Brazil, as well as Hadi, are accustomed to running trials around the world and said they had not participated in any race so well organized and so structured.
The UTAT surprised us.
We had athletes enrolled in the Brazil group and 4 more athletes who have signed without the group and who came from France to run for the first time a race and they just loved it.
I’m sure that in 2017 we will bring many other athletes from Brazil to UTAT. Several people are already looking for us because accompanied by our social networks these days we spent in Oukaimeden.
The Amazir Race was amazing! I did not expect a 10km race with many challenges even knowing well the area. I loved it!
Thanks for all the attention and care they had with our group from the beginning. We are sure that in 2017 the partnership will be even bigger and better!
Give our congratulations to all your staff. They are really excellent!
Lilian Haddad Akkouh, 2016
A demanding race, at altitude, on difficult trails, for real prepared trail runners. You will be paid back without limit... The first and last of each race can find themselves next to the tent. So cool the feeling of participating in equal parts... at the same event.
Wonderful experience with beautiful encounters, going to meet the children and giving them pencils and seeing the joy on their faces pass through the villages and always a little word of applause from these people who steal us pass. Being in the middle of nowhere and arriving at the top of a mountain pass and finding young people waiting for us to applaud us is just wonderful. All these volunteers who are there for us in unlikely places with their smiles, you are boosted to continue, I will just say thank you for this wonderful trip that pushes us to go beyond our limits, I returned home to Brittany transformed with lots of images in my head, thank you to the organizers and volunteers.
I found the UTAT experience just incredible: the welcome, the signposting, the volunteers, everything is great. A first experience for me in a bivouac for 4 days, it pushes me to talk to everyone, both the winner and the last one, without forgetting the volunteers. An extraordinary panorama and villages lost in the middle of nowhere that bring us back down to earth for us who usually live in our daily comfort. A race to do again and that I recommend
